According to the rather interesting Medium post by its co-founder, Tayo Oviosu via TechCabal, the company processed about US$1bn transactions within 42 months (From 2012 – June 2015) and US$800m within one year! (July 2015-July 2016).

Commenting on the milestone, the co-founder, and CEO of Paga – Tayo Oviosu, had this to say:
Our team of ~200 has achieved so much because each person has been dedicated to the mission and a desire to build something bigger than all of us. To build a company that will have a lasting impact on Nigeria and be around 200+ years in some shape or form. Everyday I feel privileged working with such a great team and with great investors who you know really care about the team
“The anchor of our business is our shared agent network — women and men who are entrepreneurs across Nigeria.”
This is a huge milestone, especially when you consider the fact that mobile money is still not Nigerians’ first choice for payments.
